Gift Olaleye – Places where realms converge

PLACES WHERE REALMS CONVERGE

Seldom does death go to bed

unless it catches heaven taking a nap.

So imagine imagination as a man,

how mighty will he be?

In his eyes will be the portal

that uncovers the past and the future.

In his breath will moments be determined

and his voice will be the sharp edge

between sanity and insanity.

But death doesn’t go to bed

unless it catches heaven taking a nap.

I know a dark dove with the soul of a tormentor,

he has a horn at the centre of his head.

His beak is as sharp as a sword

and his eyes; were crimson red.

Over oceans, valleys and mountains,

he flew in search of what to eat

He hunted him until he found prey.

An adorable harmless female snake

Its white colour, crystal clear.

But hell came down with a pointed horn

as the dove dived with a fixed gaze,

while the innocent snake danced under the morning sun.

By the time she realized the danger,

it was already too late,

because death doesn’t go to bed

unless it catches heaven taking a nap.

So where really do realms converge?

Heaven…

Hell…

The Solar System…

Or you.

For if you had truly read this poem,

You would understand

that you have just hosted several realms

without even knowing it.
