2024 was a year of transformation for The Tribe, solidifying our place as a home for creatives across the African continent. When we rebranded at the end of 2023, it marked more than just a name change—it was the birth of a space that accommodates not only writers and poets but also photographers, artists, and creatives of all kinds.
At The Tribe, our vision is clear: to be a safe, united space where African storytellers can dream big, refine their craft, and connect with like-minded creatives.
2024 in Review:
We focused on community-building and partnerships, bringing our vision to life in tangible ways:
Empowering Through Events:
Monthly poetry readings became a cornerstone of our community, where tribesmen shared their works and guests spontaneously joined in. These gatherings fostered creativity and connection.
Our webinars provided tribesmen with tools to grow and excel, further building a sense of shared learning.
Engaging Content:
We achieved a 25% open rate on our newsletters, reflecting deeper engagement with our tribesmen and excitement for the stories we share.
Meaningful Partnerships:
With the Whole Healing Foundation, The Tribe hosted a Digital Marketing Bootcamp, offering participants internship opportunities with industry leaders.
Looking Ahead to 2025:
This year, we’re focused on amplifying the stories of our tribesmen, showcasing their achievements, and inspiring the next wave of creatives. In her interview with Sunday Tribune, our Founder, Victoria Olajide, shared her vision for The Tribe: to impact 10,000 creatives within five years, equipping them with resources and opportunities that elevate African storytelling.
As we journey into 2025, we’ll continue to build, dream, and empower. Through your stories, we’ll effectively showcase African creativity and innovation.
Join us as we create magic, one tribesman at a time.
