Home by Efosa God’sgift Uhunmwangho

“Home” they say,

It’s where the heart is

But why do I find it hard to believe

When I come home and find chaos

Brother against sister

Sister against brother

We fight, we war.

They say “blood is thicker than water”

An offence caused cannot be forgiven

I am tired of fighting

I want love

I want peace

What’s the use of a banquet

In a house on fire?

My brother, my sister

Why fight ye each other

Embrace each other in love

This is our home

We are a family

Divided we fall

Together we stand

We ought to live at peace with one another.
