Africa possesses tales that reflect its uniqueness, greenness and the “shadowing sleek” of every dark skin.
This is what we want to show the world.
Learn about Africa is a campaign TVOTRIBE developed to pursue proper education on African Narratives, Communities, Countries and her people.
We plan to develop a sequence of informative materials that will help provide information, explore intentional content and intensive communication on relevant information on the African continent.
We are also challenged by the fact that most people in different countries within Africa know little about their neighbors. This has further contributed to the nefarious stories shared about these different spaces.
We are moved to pursue change, by creating conversations that unite our communities. We seek to tell the true African Story; the one that breeds greatness, hospitality, friendship and love for our unique identities.
How do we plan to do this?

We believe that we can influence communities with communities.
For the Learn About Africa Campaign, we plan to build a team of individuals with intentional relevant knowledge and resources on their cultural space, ethnic group, nationality, and/or continent.
After collecting their unique stories, we will develop them into audio, visual and written resources to educate other localities.
We believe that learning about one another can foster proper friendships, strengthen language, build community and enhance creativity.
This is our way.
Before initiating this, we released an interview series; The Inkuru Series – featuring storytellers from various countries in Africa. Featured Authors, Storytellers, Poets and Novelists include; Leila Aboulela, Mara Menzies, Victoria Olajide, Kola Tubosun, Wale Bailey and much more. This interview series lined with strong conversations on African communities, literary societies and storytelling would help phase out ideas on the LAA campaign and engage literary enthusiasts.
The Inkuru Series would be published on our website and covered by our Non-Fiction Editor – Odebunmi Oluwapelumi, and other members of our Editorial Team.

How to contribute.
We run a small team of volunteers and we are constantly recruiting contributors to help manage collective content and stories.
We would love to have you on our team, if you;
- are passionate about your art, culture and the collective creative space.
- can spare the time for extra responsibilities.
- will be available for team meetings and thought sessions.
- can unite your community and organize discussions and interactive sessions with them.
- can engage conversations with storytellers in your community and share strong ideas about your space.
